Feasibility Analysis
In Summer 2021, Westervelt Ecological Services was contracted by Summit County Open Space Department to conduct a mitigation feasibility analyses and identify Summit County OSD owned parcels with the potential for US Army Corps of Engineers compensatory mitigation projects. In successfully executing this project, Westervelt examined over 9000 acres of Summit County Open Space parcels via desktop to understand site suitability. Following desktop analyses, over 2000 acres of Summit County OSD land was delineated to better understand site characteristics. After field due diligence, Westervelt delivered a comprehensive final report and presentation of suitable mitigation parcels and an associated cost and feasibility rankings to Summit County OSD.
